The Dell PowerEdge R730xd packs 24 front-accessible 2.5-inch bays into a 2U rack chassis, making it a compact platform for storage-heavy workloads. Two Xeon E5-2620 v3 processors running at 2.4 GHz with six cores each provide 12 total cores for multi-threaded tasks. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules, leaving 16 slots open for expansion up to 1.5 TB.
