Storage capacity and memory headroom

The chassis supports a maximum of 52 TB of raw hard-drive capacity across the twelve bays, while the H330 controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 for redundancy or performance. Memory tops out at 48 GB in this configuration; the board provides 24 DIMM slots but the installed processor limits total system memory to this level. Buyers who need more than 52 TB of internal storage or more than 48 GB of RAM should consider a platform with larger drive support or a processor that unlocks higher memory capacity.

PCIe 3.0 and networking limits

Six PCIe 3.0 slots plus a dedicated RAID-card slot give room for additional controllers or network adapters, yet the bus remains at PCIe 3.0 speeds. Onboard networking is a daughter card with four 1 GbE ports; optional 10 GbE NDC upgrades exist but are not installed. Workloads that demand PCIe 4.0 bandwidth or integrated 10 GbE without an add-in card will not be satisfied by this server.
