The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 12-core processors running at 2.1 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots and a PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache. Twelve 3.5-inch drive trays support SAS and SATA devices. Dual 10 GbE SFP+ ports and iDRAC9 Enterprise provide connectivity and remote management. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power.

Verify rack depth and power infrastructure

This unit occupies 2U of rack space and requires rails deep enough for a 15th-generation PowerEdge chassis. Confirm that your facility can supply two independent circuits for the 1400 W redundant supplies and that cooling capacity matches the thermal output of dual 12-core CPUs and a fully populated memory configuration. The LGA 4189 socket limits processor upgrades to compatible 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable parts only. Network switches must provide SFP+ transceivers or direct-attach cables for the OCP 3.0 10 GbE adapter.

Included accessories reduce deployment time

Factory-fitted sliding rails and a front bezel enable immediate rack mounting without separate hardware orders. The PERC H755 battery-backed cache protects in-flight writes during unexpected power loss across RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 arrays. iDRAC9 Enterprise licences advanced remote console, virtual media and telemetry features that would otherwise require a separate subscription. The dual-port 10 GbE OCP card frees a PCIe slot for additional storage or accelerator cards.
