The Netgear GS108-400NAS is an unmanaged desktop switch with eight RJ45 ports that auto-negotiate at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps. It requires no software or configuration, making it a fit-and-forget choice for small businesses and home offices that need instant wired connectivity.

Fanless metal chassis enables silent operation

A passively cooled metal enclosure eliminates moving parts, so the switch adds zero noise to quiet workspaces or living-room setups. The external 12 V 0.5 A power adapter keeps the unit itself compact and cool while supporting desktop or wall-mount placement.

Handles everyday traffic.

The 4K MAC address table and 192 KB buffer absorb typical file transfers, VoIP and streaming loads with store-and-forward switching and 9 KB jumbo-frame support.
