Server-grade ECC RDIMM kit

This 1 TB kit contains eight 128 GB DDR5 4800 CL40 registered ECC modules built for Lenovo ThinkSystem SD650 V3, SD650-I V3, SD665 V3, SD665-N V3 and SR630 V3 servers. The 288-pin RDIMMs operate at 1.1 V and carry JEDEC-standard PC5-38400 ratings. They are designed for workloads that require error correction and registered buffering in multi-socket platforms. This memory will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs.

Sustained-load behaviour

Registered buffering and on-die ECC keep data integrity stable during continuous compute jobs across all populated channels. The CL40 latency and 4800 MT/s transfer rate deliver consistent throughput for virtualization, database and HPC tasks without the timing drift seen in unbuffered modules. Each 4Rx4 rank organization spreads electrical load evenly, helping the memory controller maintain signal quality under full population. Thermal performance relies on system airflow because the modules have no heat spreader.

Installation notes

Align the 288-pin key with the server DIMM slot and press until both latches engage; the registered design adds slight resistance compared to unbuffered sticks. Populate slots in the order prescribed by the ThinkSystem service guide to enable quad-channel operation and avoid boot failures. Mixing these RDIMMs with unbuffered or load-reduced memory will prevent the system from posting. Verify firmware is current before installing all eight modules to ensure capacity recognition.
