HP OMEN 880 DDR4 upgrade

This 8 GB DDR4 2400 CL17 module is built for the HP OMEN 880-000na, 880-001nc, 880-001nf, 880-001nw and 880-002la desktops. It fits the 288 pin UDIMM slots and runs at 1.2 V without ECC or buffering. The single stick adds capacity for everyday multitasking and larger workloads.

Replacing slower DDR4 2133 memory

The module is backward compatible with 2133 MHz systems and will run at the lower speed if the platform requires it. A jump to 2400 MHz is worthwhile when the board and CPU officially support PC4 19200 and you need more bandwidth for integrated graphics or memory bound applications. Builders who need ECC or registered DIMMs cannot use this kit.

Sustained load behaviour

JEDEC compliant timings and 1.2 V operation keep thermals steady during long rendering or compilation sessions. The lack of a heat spreader means airflow across the PCB is the only cooling path, so case ventilation must be adequate. Modules without spreaders can run warmer than shielded equivalents under continuous full speed operation.
