Compact 1U rackmount NAS for edge workloads

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage server built around an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor running at 2.2 GHz with 32GB of DDR4 memory. It ships fully assembled and tested with four 8TB Synology Plus drives providing 32TB of raw capacity and an 800GB cache composed of two 400GB enterprise SSDs. The system targets branch offices and remote sites that need a ready-to-run storage platform in a shallow chassis.

Four 1GbE ports with link aggregation and PCIe

Connectivity is provided by four RJ-45 ports operating at 10/100/1000 Mbps which support link aggregation for higher throughput and automatic failover. A single PCIe Gen3 slot accepts compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE card to extend networking or caching. Without an expansion card the unit remains restricted to gigabit speeds, and only one RX426 expansion unit can be attached to grow the bay count to eight.

Hot-swap bays redundant power and shallow depth

Four hot-swappable bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs for tool-less drive replacement during operation. Redundant power supplies operate from 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and share the load for continuous uptime. The chassis measures 44 mm high, 480 mm wide and 492.6 mm deep weighing 8.0 kg, fitting standard 19-inch racks where deeper servers cannot be installed.
