The Archer C80 delivers combined wireless rates up to 1900 Mbps, split between 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. It supports 802.11ac Wave 2 with 3×3 MU-MIMO so multiple compatible devices receive data simultaneously. Build quality and daily connectivity

The black chassis houses four fixed antennas that fold flat for shelf placement or angle upright for broader dispersion. Five gigabit ports — one WAN and four LAN — handle a modem, desktop PCs, a NAS or a smart-TV without a separate switch. LED indicators show power, internet status, both wireless bands and each wired link at a glance. A recessed reset button and a dedicated Wi-Fi on/off switch sit on the rear panel for quick access without accidental presses.

Parental controls and easy setup

The bundled web interface and the TP-Link Tether app let you create profiles, set daily time limits and filter content per device without a subscription. A setup wizard detects the connection type, clones a MAC address if required and applies a secure SSID in a few minutes. Guest networking isolates visitors from the main LAN while keeping the same internet connection. Firmware updates can be scheduled automatically so the router stays current without manual checks.
