3.5" Caddy with 2.5" Adapter
This metal tray converts a single 3.5 inch hot-plug bay so it can accept a 2.5 inch SAS or SATA drive. It is built for administrators maintaining Dell PowerEdge servers from the 14th through 16th generations and compatible Precision rack workstations.
Fits Standard Hot-Plug Bays
The caddy slides directly into the server's 3.5 inch drive slot without tools beyond the included mounting screws. Once installed it frees the smaller drive form factor for use in platforms that only provide larger bays, letting you reuse existing 2.5 inch media.
Metal Construction for Cooling
The all-metal bracket conducts heat away from the drive and maintains rigid alignment during hot-plug insertion. No active cooling is added so power draw and acoustic profile remain unchanged from the bare drive.

שאלות על הפריט הזה
Will the metal caddy and adapter handle the heat of a 3.5" drive running 24/7 in a PowerEdge R760?
The metal bracket and adapter are built to stay rigid and dissipate drive heat in supported PowerEdge 16th-14th Gen servers including the R760.
Does the SATA 3.0 Gb/s interface limit sustained throughput on a 3.5" SAS drive in an R750?
The caddy supports both SAS and SATA drives; the backplane sets the link speed, so a 3.5" SAS drive runs at its native SAS rate in an R750.
Do I need my own screws to mount a 2.5" SSD into the adapter before sliding it into a T560?
Twelve mounting screws are included so you can secure a 2.5" drive in the adapter without extra hardware.
