The Intel 670p Series 512GB drive uses 144-layer QLC NAND and a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe interface in the M.2 2280 form factor. It is built for consumer notebooks, desktops and mobile devices that need high capacity at an accessible price point.
With no moving parts the drive runs silently. Active power draw is 80 mW and idle power is 25 mW. The operating temperature range spans 0°C to 70°C, while shock resistance reaches 1,000G during operation and 1,500G when powered off. Vibration tolerance is rated at 2.17 GRMS across 5-700 Hz.
The terabytes-written rating of 185TB is the single figure that determines whether this drive suits your workload. Sequential speeds reach 3,000 MBps read and 1,600 MBps write, with random performance of 110,000 IOPS read and 315,000 IOPS write. MTBF is 1,600,000 hours.
