This desktop server chassis includes a Mean Well HRP-600-7.5 single-output unit rated at 7.5V and 80A for 600W continuous power. It suits builders assembling compact rack or tower systems that need a regulated low-voltage rail. The integrated supply simplifies wiring by removing the need for a separate ATX brick. Buyers who need multiple voltage rails or higher wattage should look elsewhere.
The built-in supply uses active PFC and a constant-current limiting circuit to maintain stable output under load. A DC fan provides forced-air cooling while protections cover short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature. No-load draw stays below 0.75W and the unit withstands a 300VAC surge for five seconds. Remote sense and DC OK signal lines allow external monitoring.
The chassis adopts a 1U low-profile desktop layout that fits standard shallow racks or shelf mounts. Universal AC input accepts full-range mains without a voltage selector. Remote ON/OFF control and a 5V standby output let the host manage power state. Current sharing is available on 24V, 36V and 48V variants but not on this 7.5V model. Ensure your backplane and load cabling match the single 7.5V rail.

Mount the 1U low-profile unit in the chassis bay, secure it with screws, connect the AC input to a universal full-range source, and attach the DC output cables; the step often missed is wiring the remote sense terminals to the load for accurate voltage regulation.
The built-in DC fan draws dust into the enclosure; periodically vacuum the intake vents and verify the DC OK signal remains active, and after several years consider replacing the fan assembly if airflow drops.
The constant current limiting circuit engages at 80 A, capping output at 600 W; sustained operation at this level will trigger the over-temperature protection before any other limit is reached.
