Z490 Chipset for 10th Gen Intel Core

The ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4 uses the Intel Z490 chipset and LGA 1200 socket to support 10th Generation Intel Core processors. Four DDR4 slots accept up to 128 GB of non-ECC memory with a wide range of validated speeds. Dual-channel architecture and Turbo Boost Technology 3.0 are supported.

PCIe Layout and Storage Options

Two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots run at x16 or x16 and x4 when both are populated. Three PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots add expansion room. One Ultra M.2 socket takes 2260, 2280 or 22110 modules with PCIe Gen3 x4 or SATA 6.0 Gb/s signalling. A second M.2 Key E socket accepts 2230 Wi-Fi/BT modules with Intel CNVi. Hardware-accelerated decode covers AVC/H.264, HEVC/H.265 8-bit and 10-bit, VP8 and VP9. Intel Optane Technology is supported for compatible modules.
