ESTONE PCIE24SATA SATA expansion card

The ESTONE PCIE24SATA adds four SATA III ports through a single PCIe x1 slot. It uses the Marvell 88SE9215 controller and includes a low-profile bracket for small-form-factor cases. Four SATA cables and mounting hardware are supplied. The card works without extra drivers on Windows XP through 11, macOS, Linux and NAS platforms.

Four SATA III ports at 6 Gbps each

Each port delivers up to 6 Gbps and is backward compatible with 1.5 Gbps and 3 Gbps drives. Four large-capacity drives can be connected simultaneously. The controller supports Port Multiplier FIS-based and Command-based switching. RAID is not supported on the card itself, though a motherboard with RAID capability can build arrays across the ports.

PCIe 2.0 x1 link caps total bandwidth

The card complies with PCI Express 2.0 and 3.0 and fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots. Because the link is a single PCIe 2.0 lane, aggregate throughput cannot exceed that lane's ceiling. A passive heatsink is fitted to the Marvell 88SE9215 for sustained operation. Boot-from-drive is supported in non-RAID mode.
