The GIGABYTE Z490M GAMING X fits a Micro-ATX chassis and takes 10th Generation Intel Core i9, i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors in the LGA 1200 socket. The Intel Z490 chipset provides a 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and a 1 x PCI Express x1 slot for expansion cards. It is built for compact gaming or workstation builds.

128 GB DDR4 across four slots

Four 288-pin DDR4 slots support up to 128 GB in dual-channel mode. JEDEC speeds include 2933 and 3200; a long list of overclocked steps reaches 4400. The board also offers 6 x SATA 6Gb/s ports and one M.2 Socket 3 M key connector accepting 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSDs.

DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI for integrated graphics

The rear I/O includes DisplayPort 1.4 with HDCP 2.3 and HDR, driving up to 4096x2304 at 60 Hz, plus an HDMI port. Networking uses an Intel I219-V 1 Gbps LAN controller.
