Compact 2U rackmount chassis

The Rosewill RSV-Z2800U is a 2U silver server case built from 1.0 mm SGCC steel. It accepts Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and provides four internal 3.5 inch bays plus two 2.5 inch device slots. Two front USB 3.0 ports and LED indicators for power, drive and network activity complete the front panel.

Build integration and expansion

Four low-profile expansion slots sit behind the motherboard tray and support cards up to 150 mm long. The power supply bay takes a PS2 form-factor unit no longer than 180 mm. CPU coolers are limited to 70 mm height, so only low-profile heatsinks will fit. The layout leaves room for one extra 80 mm fan if additional airflow is desired.

Thermals and acoustics

Two 80 mm PWM fans are pre-installed at the front and pull air across the drive bays and motherboard. Fan speed scales with temperature, keeping noise low during light loads while providing extra airflow when drives or the CPU are under sustained use. The 2U height and perforated front panel help exhaust heat through the rear expansion slots.
