Resolution capacity and headroom

The converter supports PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p while passing 5.1 surround sound audio. As a passive DP++ device it relies on the source to output a dual-mode signal, so it cannot drive displays that need higher bandwidth or active signal conversion.

DisplayPort 1.1a and HDMI 1.3a limits

The adapter is built to the DisplayPort 1.1a and HDMI 1.3a standards, which cap digital video at 1920 x 1200 or 1080p at standard refresh rates.
