The VisionTek 600009 injects 48 volt DC power onto a single Gigabit Ethernet cable for 802.3af devices. It suits installers adding an IP camera, VoIP phone or Wi-Fi access point where no local mains socket exists. The passive design delivers constant voltage without negotiation. It fits the footprint of one electrical outlet.

15 W Capacity and Headroom

The bundled supply provides 48 volts at 0.3 amp for a 15 watt ceiling. That headroom covers standard 802.3af endpoints such as basic cameras or access points. Devices needing more than 15 watts or 802.3at negotiation will not operate. The injector has no auto-negotiation so it cannot step down for lower-class gear.
