The Vszerda HXT-51X converts a single PCIe x1 slot into four PCIe x16 physical connectors using a USB 3.0 link. It targets mining rigs or test benches that need multiple GPUs or accelerators from one motherboard lane. No drivers are required for basic enumeration. The board draws auxiliary power from a 4-pin connector and includes two SATA 15-pin to 4-pin adapters for peripheral supply.

Thermals noise and power

The riser uses an onboard IC power management device to regulate delivery across the four slots. External power enters through the 4-pin header and the bundled SATA adapters, keeping the motherboard slot within its rated current. The 60 cm USB 3.0 cable allows the expansion board to sit in open air, so GPU coolers exhaust freely without recirculating heat inside a cramped chassis. No active cooling is present on the riser itself.

Build quality and daily use

The package supplies the x16 backplane, the x1 riser card, the 60 cm USB 3.0 cable and two SATA power cables. Connectors are keyed, but the supplier warns that misaligned insertion can damage pins, so the socket should be held during plug-in.
