The Axis M3215-LVE is a cost-effective network dome camera delivering 2 MP resolution for indoor and outdoor monitoring. Built on the ARTPEC-8 platform, it supports deep-learning analytics at the edge. The fixed 3.1 mm F2.0 lens provides a 101° horizontal and 55° vertical field of view with a minimum focus distance of 1.0 m. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by carrying data and power over a single RJ45 cable.

This camera replaces legacy analogue CCTV or early low-resolution IP domes that struggle in variable lighting. The jump is worth it when you need forensic detail in scenes with both dark and bright areas, or colour clarity in near darkness without external illuminators. Lightfinder, Forensic WDR and OptimizedIR together enable usable footage up to 30 m in total darkness. Zipstream with H.264 and H.265 cuts bandwidth and storage needs significantly compared to uncompressed streams.

ONVIF Profiles G, M, S and T plus SIP support allow straightforward integration with compatible video management systems and VoIP infrastructure. A microSD slot provides local edge recording redundancy. Audio and I/O ports enable two-way communication or external sensor triggers. Built-in cybersecurity features such as signed firmware and secure boot help protect the device on the network. The compact white dome measures 102 mm high and 149 mm in diameter, weighing 783 g with its weathershield.
