This is a new 300GB 2.5-inch internal hard drive spinning at 10000RPM with a 6Gb/s SAS interface and 64MB cache. It ships in a lot of ten units, each supplied with a Dell PowerEdge server caddy tray for direct installation.
Suited for Dell PowerEdge Servers
The tray and interface match a wide range of PowerEdge models including the M600, M610, R310, R410, R510, R610, R710, T310, T410 and T610 series. Systems lacking a 2.5-inch SAS backplane or the correct drive carrier will not accept these drives without additional hardware.
6Gb/s SAS Interface Decides Compatibility
The drive requires a controller or backplane that supports 6Gb/s SAS signalling; a 3Gb/s-only controller will limit throughput or prevent detection. Verify the server generation supports this link speed before purchasing the ten-drive pack.
