The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14.0-inch notebook built for professionals who need a complete system without an operating system pre-installed. It ships with a 2.20 GHz Intel Core i7-6650U dual-core processor that can reach 3.40 GHz, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a new 2 TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. The HD+ panel shows 1600 x 900 pixels and is not a touchscreen.

Compact chassis with everyday ports

The black Latitude body fits a 14.0-inch display in a frame designed for daily carry and desk docking. Integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 drives the built-in screen and external monitors through the available video outputs. A 720p webcam, Bluetooth and standard USB ports support conferencing and peripherals without extra dongles. Two memory slots are present but already filled to the 16 GB maximum.

Practical limits of the platform

The 6th-generation dual-core CPU and SATA SSD set the pace for boot times, application loading and multitasking. The 16 GB ceiling means memory cannot be expanded beyond the factory configuration. Integrated graphics handle office workloads and video playback but are not suited to modern 3D titles or heavy GPU compute. Buyers who need a pre-installed OS, more storage headroom or a higher-resolution display should look elsewhere.
