The MR408i-o storage controller with 4 GB cache manages eight 1.92 TB SAS SSDs totalling 15.36 TB of enterprise storage. PCIe Gen5 lanes supply bandwidth for sustained data movement across storage and expansion slots. iLO 6 remote management allows monitoring and firmware updates without physical access.

SAS 12Gb/s Interface Throughput

The SAS 12Gb/s interface sets the maximum transfer rate for the installed SSD array, limiting sequential throughput to that link speed. Eight drives share the controller's x8 lane allocation, so aggregate performance scales with queue depth rather than per-drive burst rates. Windows Server 2022 Standard licenses 16 cores, leaving the remaining 48 cores unlicensed for this OS edition. Memory and drives ship separately and require installation before deployment.
