DIY portable NVMe enclosure
The OWC Express 1M2 80G is an aluminum enclosure that accepts a single M.2 2280 or 2242 NVMe drive. It connects via USB4 and is bus-powered, so creators and mobile professionals can add high-speed external storage without an external power supply. The drive itself is not included.
Aluminum heatsink with USB4 cable
A finned aluminum body acts as a silent heatsink to prevent thermal throttling during sustained transfers. The enclosure measures 5.2 by 2.8 by 0.9 inches and weighs 9.9 oz. A .3 m (12") USB4 cable is permanently attached for host connection.
Screwdriver and cross-platform software option
The package includes a small screwdriver and an assembly manual for tool-free drive installation. OWC MacDrive software, sold separately, enables read-write access to Mac-formatted volumes on Windows 11 or higher and macOS 14.x or higher systems.
