Confirm the case accepts a 6.7" by 6.7" board and that the CPU cooler mounting pattern matches the FCBGA 1667 socket. The board requires a 12 V DC input or a standard ATX power source; ensure your power supply has the appropriate connector. Memory modules must be DDR4 ECC RDIMM or UDIMM; other generations will not fit. Four DIMM slots are available, so plan capacity accordingly.
Soldered processor and dense rear I/O
The Xeon D-1541 is soldered directly to the board, so no processor upgrade is possible. Rear I/O includes two 10GBase-T RJ45 ports, two gigabit RJ45 ports, a dedicated IPMI LAN port, a VGA connector and two USB 3.0 ports. Six SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports and internal USB 2.0 headers support storage and peripherals. A TPM 1.2 header, GPIO and SMbus headers are also present for platform management.
