The Tripp Lite SMT1500LCDT is a 1500 VA, 900 W line-interactive UPS that delivers pulse-width modulated sine-wave output to connected equipment. It protects workstations, networking gear and peripherals from outages, brownouts and over-voltage events while providing automatic voltage regulation.

Line-interactive topology

The unit runs on a valve-regulated lead-acid battery cartridge (RBC51) that recharges from 10 % to 90 % in under eight hours. At full 900 W load runtime is 2.3 minutes; at half load (450 W) it extends to 10 minutes. An audible alarm signals power-failure and low-battery conditions, and the USB port enables software monitoring.

Ten NEMA 5-15R outlets plus data-line protection

Five outlets provide battery-backed surge protection and five provide surge-only protection. Coaxial, RJ45 (10/100Base-T) and RJ11 jacks shield modem, Ethernet and telephone lines. PowerAlert software is a free download for automated shutdown and event logging. The tower chassis is not rack-mountable.
