The Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a 2U rackmount system built for storage-heavy workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6134 processors, each running at 3.2 GHz with eight cores. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory are installed across four slots. The chassis provides twelve 3.5-inch drive trays for SAS or SATA hard drives.

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 2U unit and that you have compatible 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives to populate the twelve trays.
