Remote ATX Power Control Board for Comet KVM
This add-on board connects a Comet GL-RM1 or GL-RM1PE KVM to a motherboard ATX header giving remote power-on and forced-reboot capability. It is intended for system administrators who manage headless servers digital signage players or industrial PCs that must recover from a crash without on-site staff.
OS-Independent Hardware Reset Over Ethernet
Control travels through the Comet KVM over the network so the host operating system does not need to be responsive. The board can toggle the power button pins and hold the reset line to force a cold boot even when the OS is frozen or powered off completely. Functionality stops if the network link to the Comet unit is lost or the Comet itself loses power.
Simple Header Wiring With Polarity Sensitivity
Installation requires plugging the supplied cable onto the motherboard front-panel header matching the power-switch and reset-switch pins. Reversing the connector or using the wrong pin pair will prevent the board from signalling the motherboard. No driver or software configuration is needed on the host machine beyond enabling the KVM in the Comet interface.
