This kit provides 512GB of DDR4 memory across four 128GB load-reduced DIMMs. It is built for HP Synergy 480 Gen10 and 660 Gen10 compute modules. The modules are ECC LRDIMM, not standard desktop RAM, and cannot mix with unbuffered or registered ECC memory.
Operating at 1.2V, the modules follow JEDEC DDR4 specifications for voltage and power. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow in the server chassis handles cooling. The load-reduced design reduces electrical load on the memory bus during typical operation.
Under continuous workloads the ECC circuitry corrects single-bit errors to maintain data integrity. The 4Rx4 organisation and CL21 latency remain stable at the rated 2933MHz speed. Backward compatibility allows operation at 2133MHz, 2400MHz and 2666MHz if the system requires lower speeds.

The memory controller will down-clock the kit to 2666, 2400 or 2133 MHz if the processor or BIOS does not support the full 2933 MT/s data rate, so sustained throughput is capped at the highest speed the platform actually negotiates.
