The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server configured with dual Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors running at 2.2 GHz with 2.9 GHz turbo. Twelve cores per CPU deliver 24 threads for virtualization, database hosting, or file services. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory occupy four of twelve slots, leaving room to scale toward the 384 GB maximum. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 across sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays, though only eight drive trays are populated.

Dual 750 W platinum supplies and hot-swap cooling

Redundant 750-watt platinum-efficiency power supplies share the load and can be replaced without shutdown. Integrated dual-port gigabit Ethernet handles baseline network traffic. The iDRAC 8 Express module provides out-of-band remote management with Lifecycle Controller for firmware updates and hardware inventory. Front bezel and ready rails are not included, so rack mounting requires a separate conversion kit. Hot-swap drive bays and power supplies keep the chassis serviceable while workloads run.

Eight trays and PERC cache enable immediate arrays

Eight supplied 2.5-inch drive trays let you populate half the 16-bay backplane at once, and the H730P's 2 GB battery-backed cache accelerates write-heavy RAID levels without extra hardware. iDRAC 8 Express adds remote console, power control, and alerting without an enterprise licence. Memory expansion uses standard DDR4 ECC RDIMMs across the eight open slots. Buyers who need the front bezel, rack rails, or drives themselves must source those separately.
