The ESTONE L06B2IN1 cable connects a standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD to a computer through either a USB 3.0 Type-A port or a USB-C port. It is intended for users who need quick access to a bare notebook drive for data recovery, cloning, backup or temporary external storage. The adapter does not support 3.5 inch drives.

Plug-and-play with short cable

Installation is driver-free on Windows XP through 10, macOS and Linux; the drive appears as soon as it is attached. The 7.9 inch (0.66 ft) cable keeps the setup compact but offers little slack for awkward port placements. The USB-C connector supplies extra power for the drive, yet the adapter cannot power a 3.5 inch unit and provides no external power input.

UASP acceleration on capable hosts

With UASP support on both the host and the drive, sustained transfers can reach 6 Gbps, roughly 70 percent faster than standard USB 3.0 bulk endpoints. Without UASP the link falls back to 5 Gbps USB 3.0 or 480 Mbps USB 2.0 speeds. An LED indicates power and activity during long copy or imaging sessions.
