This ESTONE PCIE27USBA card adds seven USB 3.0 Type-A ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express lane. It is aimed at users who need many simultaneous connections for external drives, peripherals or media transfers. The board fits x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots and works with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 through 11 as well as Linux. Mac OS 10.8.2 and above is also supported.

Check slot type and driver needs

Verify that the motherboard has a free PCI Express slot; the card will not fit legacy PCI slots. Windows 8, 10 and 11 load the driver automatically, while Windows 7 and XP require a manual install from the included CD or a download. The board draws power from the slot itself, so no extra power connector is needed. Ensure the operating system matches the supported list before ordering.

Independent port power and solid capacitors

A two-phase power module feeds each port separately, letting all seven ports run at 5 V 2 A without an auxiliary cable. Every USB interface has its own solid capacitor using conductive polymer dielectric for low ESR and high temperature stability. The NEC 720201 and 720210 controllers manage traffic, and the bracket measures 4.92 by 4.06 by 1.06 inches for standard full-height cases.
