Will this enclosure run at 10Gbps on my older laptop that only has USB 3.0 ports?
The enclosure supports NVMe at 10Gbps over USB 3.2 Gen 2 and SATA at 5Gbps over USB 3.0. On a USB 3.0 port you will see SATA speeds and NVMe limited to 5Gbps.
How do I know the drive is working just by looking at the case?
RGB LEDs show status: slow colour cycle in standby, fast flash during read/write, breathing blue in sleep, solid red when no SSD is fitted.
Which cables are included and do I need anything else to connect a 2280 SSD?
The box contains the enclosure, a USB-A to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable. No extra parts are required for 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 drives.
