24-Channel Hybrid DVR for Mixed Analog

This Camius TRIVAULT4K2168R records up to 16 analog cameras over coaxial BNC connections and eight IP cameras simultaneously. It supports CVBS, AHD, HD-CVI and TVI signal types at 4K resolution and 10 frames per second per analog channel. IP channels record at up to 30 frames per second. The unit ships without hard drives and is intended for installers building or expanding a hybrid surveillance system.

Thermal and Power Characteristics

The recorder operates from an external 12 V 5 A power supply, keeping internal heat and noise low for continuous operation. Two internal 3.5-inch SATA bays and one eSATA port accept drives up to 14 TB each, providing a total raw capacity of 30 TB. H.264 and H.265 compression reduce bit-rate and storage demand without adding processing noise. No fan dimensions or acoustic figures are supplied by the manufacturer.

Upgrade Path and Best-Fit Scenarios

The DVR replaces older analog-only recorders that cannot add IP cameras or exceed lower channel counts. When analog channels are unused, the system accepts up to 24 IP cameras, allowing a phased migration to network video. It is not suited for buyers who need more than 30 TB of onboard storage or who require built-in PoE ports for IP camera power. The jump is worth it when coaxial infrastructure exists and remote viewing via PC, Mac, browser or the Camius View app is required.
