This new Dell 400-ALRV drive adds 4TB of storage to compatible Dell PowerVault systems. It uses a 3.5-inch form factor and a Near Line SAS interface running at 12Gb/s. The spindle rotates at 7200 RPM with a 512n disk format for consistent data access.
Suited for hot-swap PowerVault bays.
It fits the MD3060e, MD3260, MD3260i, MD3460, MD3660f and MD3660i arrays where hot-plug 3.5-inch trays are used. Buyers whose servers lack a 12Gb/s SAS backplane or hot-swap capability should look at other drives.
12Gb/s SAS interface decides compatibility
