This Dell PowerEdge R440 is a new 1U rackmount server system built for space-constrained data centres and virtualization clusters. Two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors at 2.1 GHz with 3.7 GHz turbo deliver 16 cores each for parallel workloads. The chassis holds eight 2.5-inch drive bays populated with 960 GB SATA SSDs and is managed through iDRAC 9 Express.

Suited for virtualization hosts needing high core

Organisations running hypervisors, container platforms or database instances that benefit from 32 total cores and 512 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC memory will find the configuration aligned. Buyers who need more than eight internal drives, a different drive interface, or GPU compute acceleration should evaluate alternative platforms. The PERC H330 controller provides SAS and SATA connectivity for the installed drives.
