Dual 16-core Xeon platform

The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors. Each chip runs at 2.1 GHz with a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency and provides 16 cores, giving 32 cores in total. It targets midsize and large enterprises running virtual desktop infrastructure, databases or high-performance computing workloads.

512 GB DDR4 with room to grow

The system ships with 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory arranged as sixteen 32 GB modules at 2400 MHz. Twenty-four DIMM slots are available and the platform supports up to 1.5 TB, leaving significant headroom for memory-intensive applications. Storage is handled by a PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache driving eight 800 GB SATA SSDs in 2.5-inch bays.

How can I confirm the PERC H730 controller sees all eight 800 GB SSDs after installation?

During POST the PERC H730 BIOS lists every detected drive; you can also open the iDRAC8 Enterprise web interface and check the storage inventory for all eight 800 GB SATA SSDs.

Which rails and bezel are included so I do not order them separately?
