The PowerEdge R730 packs two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency, delivering 44 physical cores in a 2U rack form factor. It is built for midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure or high-performance computing workloads that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.

768 GB DDR4 with room to grow

The system ships with 768 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 slots, leaving headroom up to the 1.5 TB maximum. Eight 2.5-inch drive bays are populated with 800 GB SATA SSDs behind a PERC H730 controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies, iDRAC 8 Enterprise remote management and a quad-port 1 GbE and 10 GbE SFP+ network daughter card complete the baseline connectivity and redundancy.
