How can I confirm the PERC H755 RAID controller is operating correctly after installation?

During POST the H755 initialises and displays its firmware version; once the OS loads, Dell OpenManage or the controller BIOS utility (Ctrl+R) shows all 24 drives, the 8 GB NV cache status and the configured RAID level (0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60).
