Z2 G4 workstation for professional workloads

The HP Z2 G4 mid-tower is a new desktop workstation built around an Intel Core i7-9700 processor with eight cores running at 3.0 GHz and a 4.7 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2666 memory in a four-by-32 GB configuration and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. An NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 graphics card with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus provides three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and one USB-C connector. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and digitally activated.

Tool-less chassis simplifies upgrades

The mid-tower case uses tool-less access so the 128 GB memory ceiling and NVMe slot can be reached without screws. The 500 W power supply is rated at 90 percent efficiency and drives the Quadro RTX 4000 without auxiliary cables. Integrated Intel I219-LM gigabit ethernet and Conexant CX20632 5.1 audio are soldered to the motherboard. No monitor is included in the package.

Sustained compute with workstation cooling

Under continuous load the eight-core CPU and Quadro RTX 4000 are cooled by the factory mid-tower airflow design rather than a brief burst profile. The 90 percent efficient 500 W unit delivers stable power for long rendering or simulation sessions.
