Sustained write behaviour
Sequential write speeds reach up to 2100 MBps, which is lower than the peak read rate of 3500 MBps. Under heavy continuous writes the controller will throttle to manage heat within the thin 3.80mm profile. This thermal behaviour is typical for drives without a heatsink in confined chassis.
PCIe 4.0 x4 lane limit
The drive uses four PCIe 4.0 lanes, so maximum throughput cannot exceed the electrical ceiling of that link. A platform limited to PCIe 3.0 will cap both read and write well below the stated 3500 MBps and 2100 MBps. Motherboard M.2 slot wiring determines the actual lane count available.
