Server memory upgrade

This OWC module adds 64GB of DDR5 ECC registered memory to compatible Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers. It targets administrators who need to expand capacity in GX2560 M7, CX2560 M7, RX1440 M2, RX4770 M7 or RX8770 M7 systems. The single DIMM delivers 5600 MT/s speed with CL46 latency at 1.1V. Buyers who need unbuffered or load-reduced memory cannot use this module.

Registered DIMM form factor

The 288-pin registered design plugs directly into server DIMM slots and presents a 2Rx4 organisation to the memory controller. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the module depends on the chassis cooling layout. ECC registration adds a register between the DRAM and the command bus, which improves signal integrity in dense configurations. The module is JEDEC-standard and RoHS compliant for warranty-safe installation.

Thermals and power

Operating at 1.1V keeps power draw low for a 64GB registered module. Passive cooling relies on the server's forced-air design; no onboard fan or heat spreader is included. Acoustic impact is limited to the chassis fans already required for CPU and system airflow. The DDR5 architecture provides improved efficiency over previous generations at the rated 5600 MT/s speed.
