Outdoor 1080p bullet camera

The Vstarcam C17S is a 2 MP wireless IP camera built for exterior monitoring. It records 1920 x 1080 video at 15 fps using H.264 encoding and supports ONVIF for integration with compatible recorders. A micro SD slot accepts cards up to 128 GB for local storage. The 3.6 mm fixed lens provides a 91.7° diagonal field of view.

Thermals noise and power

Rated for DC 12 V ±5 % with a maximum draw of 6 W when the infrared LEDs are active, the unit runs from a standard low-voltage supply. The embedded Linux OS handles up to four simultaneous viewers without a fan, so operation is silent. An IP-rated housing protects the electronics in temperatures from -10 °C to 50 °C and humidity below 90 %.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous recording the 18-piece 850 nm IR array illuminates up to 15 m at night while the IR-cut filter switches automatically for accurate daytime colour. Three selectable streams — 1080p, 360p and 180p — let the NVR or app balance bandwidth and detail over long periods. Motion detection can trigger alerts or recordings without external sensors.
