This expansion card adds four USB 3.0 ports to a desktop computer through a single PCIe x1 slot. It targets users who need extra high-speed connections for external drives, cameras or other peripherals on Windows systems ranging from XP to Windows 10 and Server 2019. The package includes both low-profile and full-height brackets for slim or standard cases. It is not suited for Mac OS environments.
5Gbps shared bandwidth with 8A total power
The four ports share a maximum aggregate data rate of 5Gbps, which is sufficient for typical file transfers, audio and video streaming. Each port can deliver up to 2A, giving 8A combined for power-hungry devices such as portable hard drives. Demanding multi-drive workloads or sustained high-throughput arrays will saturate the shared bus. The card does not support Mac OS and requires driver installation on Windows 7, Vista, XP and older Server editions.
Self-powered design draws only from the PCIe slot
FebSmart self-powered technology eliminates the need for an external power cable; the card draws all required current from the PCIe slot itself. On-board protection circuits and voltage-stabilising capacitors safeguard connected devices during normal operation. Heat and noise remain minimal because there are no active cooling components. The Renesas NEC chipset manages power distribution across the four ports without additional connectors.
