High-efficiency DC power supply for ASIC miners

The AFRNDK APW7 delivers a single 12 V DC output rated at 1800 W when fed from a 200-240 V AC source. It is built by Bitmain for crypto mining rigs such as the Antminer S9, Z9, L3++, D9 and T9 series, plus compatible Innosilicon, Ebit and Avalon units. The unit accepts either 100-140 V or 200-240 V AC input and uses forced-air cooling rated at 43 dB.

Voltage-dependent output ceiling

At 110-120 V AC the maximum continuous power drops to 1000 W, so the full 1800 W rating is only available on 220-240 V mains. The power factor reaches 0.99 at full load and conversion efficiency is quoted at 95 percent, compared with 93.5 percent on the older APW3++ design. Over-temperature protection shuts the supply down automatically if internal temperatures exceed safe limits.

150 A headroom at 12 V

The 12.0-12.5 V output can supply up to 150 A continuously on the high-voltage input range, giving ample margin for dense miner configurations. Operating temperature spans -20 °C to 60 °C with 20-90 % non-condensing humidity. The 1U chassis measures 206 × 110 × 62 mm and weighs 2.0 kg. Builds requiring more than 1800 W or a redundant supply architecture will need additional units.
