12.3 MP IMX477 sensor with CS lens

This camera module pairs a 12.3 megapixel Sony IMX477 sensor with a 6 mm CS-mount lens. It captures stills at 4056 x 3040 pixels and records video at 2028 x 1080p50, 2028 x 1520p40 or 1332 x 990p120. Two ribbon cables are included for direct connection to Raspberry Pi boards.

The board fits Pi models with a 22-pin or 15-pin CSI connector and mounting holes spaced at 29, 30 or 34 mm. It is not suited for projects that require autofocus, motorised zoom or a different focal length. Users needing global-shutter capture or thermal imaging should select another module.

Manual-focus 6 mm CS lens with F1.2 aperture

The supplied lens provides a 65° horizontal field of view, manual focus and an adjustable aperture of F1.2. Its minimum object distance is 0.2 mm and back focal length is 7.53 mm. This fixed focal length determines the framing and depth of field for every shot.

The module uses a 6mm focal length CS-mount lens with a 7.53mm back focal length and a 30×31mm lens dimension.

Use the 300mm 22-to-22-pin cable for Pi 5 or Zero; use the 150mm 15-to-22-pin cable for Pi 4B or 3B+. On Pi 5, cam1 is default; for cam0 add dtoverlay=imx477,cam0.

How do I clean the integral IR-cut filter without damaging the 1.55µm pixels?

Gently blow off dust with compressed air, then wipe the filter surface with a lint-free microfibre cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol; avoid pressure on the sensor area.
