The C&N ST7218 is a two-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter built around the Intel X710 controller. It connects through a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and auto-negotiates 10 GbE or 1 GbE links with SFP+ transceivers, direct-attach copper or active optical cables up to ten metres. The card ships with both a full-height and a low-profile bracket for flexible mounting.

Hardware virtualisation features include PCI-SIG SR-IOV, Virtual Machine Device Queues and Flexible Port Partitioning, letting multiple VMs share the physical ports with near-native throughput.
