Eight hot-plug 2.5-inch drive bays are populated with 300GB 15K SAS drives on a PERC H330 controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60. A redundant 550W power supply and iDRAC8 remote management are included.

The jump makes sense when you need SAS throughput and hardware RAID in a single rack unit without moving to a dual-socket configuration. Build around two PCIe 3.0 slots and four 1GbE ports
