128GB M.2 SATA Drive for Laptops and Desktops
This Timetec internal SSD uses a M.2 2280 form factor with a SATA III 6Gb/s interface. It delivers sequential read speeds up to 530 MBps and write speeds up to 430 MBps. The 128GB capacity suits operating system installs and everyday applications on compatible PCs and laptops.
Upgrade from Mechanical Hard Drives
The solid-state design removes moving parts to cut boot, shutdown and application response times compared to traditional HDDs. A jump is worthwhile when a system still runs on a spinning disk and the motherboard provides an M.2 slot keyed for SATA signalling. Backwards compatibility with SATA II 3Gb/s and SATA I 1.5Gb/s extends the upgrade path to older platforms.
Fits M.2 2280 SATA Slots and Frees 2.5-inch Bays
Installation requires an M.2 2280 socket wired for SATA, not PCIe, and a retaining screw. The slim 22x80mm card leaves 2.5-inch drive bays open for additional storage. Support for S.M.A.R.T., TRIM, garbage collection, wear-levelling and ECC maintains data integrity and sustained performance over the 1,500,000-hour MTBF rating.

Will the M.2 2280 form factor fit my laptop slot?
The drive uses the M.2 2280 form factor measuring 22 by 80 mm, so it fits any slot keyed for M.2 2280 SATA.
How do I install it and what step is often missed?
Insert the drive at an angle into the M.2 slot, press flat, and secure with the motherboard screw; the step often missed is enabling the SATA controller in BIOS if the drive does not appear.
