This Timetec internal SSD uses a M.2 2280 form factor with a SATA III 6Gb/s interface. It delivers sequential read speeds up to 530 MBps and write speeds up to 430 MBps. The 128GB capacity suits operating system installs and everyday applications on compatible PCs and laptops.

Upgrade from Mechanical Hard Drives

The solid-state design removes moving parts to cut boot, shutdown and application response times compared to traditional HDDs. A jump is worthwhile when a system still runs on a spinning disk and the motherboard provides an M.2 slot keyed for SATA signalling.
