Eight front-accessible 3.5-inch bays accept both 3.5 and 2.5-inch SATA or SAS drives, plus one fixed internal 3.5-inch position for a boot or parity device. The hot-swap design allows drive replacement without powering down, while three 12038 PWM fans and two optional 8 cm rear fans move air across dense drive stacks.
